  • What are the chances of finding water on my property?

    No matter where you are located, there is water under your property. However, water quality and quantity varies. With this in mind Aussie Water Bores has drilled all over the state developing a vast knowledge and understanding of most areas. We also have access to ground water data base services. While combining the two we can estimate depths, quality, quantity and geological formations.

  • Are there any on going fees?

    No, for stock and domestic use there are no ongoing fee’s. It’s an upfront once off cost.

  • How much does a permit cost?

    Permit costs vary between the three authorities. Currently prices are:

    SRW – $440.
    GMW – $386.
    GWM Water -$395.

  • Do I need a permit?

    Yes, you do. There are three water authorities in Victoria, and the details and websites are as follows below. You can also download a bore application form directly through our Permits page.

  • Where do I get a bore permit application form?

    You can link to the Permits page to download these forms from the Aussie Water Bores Website.

    You will also require a copy of your property title. To speed this process up you can do a title search through Landata who will email you the title within 5 minutes of requesting the form. The cost is less than $25. Click here for the Landata website: www.landata.vic.gov.au

  • Can anyone have a bore?

    Yes anyone in Victoria can have a stock and domestic bore. Whether you live in the middle of a large city or on a farm, everyone has the right to there own water supply. So get yours today!
